Uninstall JetBrains Products

JetBrains makes good IDEs, but… sometimes they could be a problem.

You may encounter this error during uninstalling after some major updates.

This is so annoying!!! And in this article, we are going to solve this problem. Fortunately, the solution is not complex.

The root of the problem is that the corresponding JetBrains product got major updates, which makes the uninstall program not compatible any more.

To update the uninstaller, go to JetBrains official site, download and install the latest version of your IDE at somewhere else. Of course, the local IDE should be updated to the latest, too. Then, go to bin folder and find the latest uninstallation program, then copy it, and override the old one.

After you replace the uninstaller, you can then uninstall it properly.
