Advanced C++ Workshop 2023 (01)
Introduction
I think it is time to have some deeper understanding of what I know and what I don’t know. As pointed out, I am very imprecise of what I know. In other words, I don’t know that I don’t know. Therefore, it is time to be precise, to know what I know, to really know.
Why is it?
A good start can be my favorite topic, without doubt, C++. I have some experience in C++, can write decent code, but the question comes back and haunts me that, do I really understand?
I don’t know, to be honest.
This is essentially why there is this series, to have a chance to get to know C++ again. And most importantly, to practice to be precise.
What is it?
It is the workshop Advanced C++ for HPC 2023, by Swiss National Supercomputing Centre and ETH Zurich. I have managed to find this one publicly available resource, which is also relatively up-to-date by the time of writing.
The original lecture recordings can be found on YouTube, and the slides are available on GitHub.
In this series, I will go through all talks, and formulate my thinking about them. Wish me good luck. ᓚᘏᗢ
